About

What is this place?

Pink Parts is a strip club that contains lots of crazy people. This comic details (some of) the havoc they create on a daily basis.

Is it PG-13/family appropriate?

If you would take your family to a strip club, then sure.

When does the comic update?

New strips are posted on Mondays and Fridays. That means "sometime on Monday" and "sometime on Friday," not necessarily 12:01am!

Is Pink Parts a real club?

No, but it's based off of a combination of a few real ones. A lot of my inspiration was seen first-hand, and the rest is a mishmash of stories I've heard from other people, all of whom worked in strip clubs.

Were you a stripper?

Yes.

Is Bubbles you? Are any of the characters you?

Bubbles is based on a girl I worked with, who was actually the first new girl I got to advise. All of the characters have elements of me or other people I know, but none of them are based completely on anyone.

So who does what around here?

It's a one-woman show (so to speak...)! I write the scripts, I draw the art, and I run the website. The structure of the site is a software called ComicCMS.

Who are you?

My name is KK. I graduated in 2010 with a BS in Computer Science and a minor in Spanish. I've been drawing for as long as I can remember, but wasn't disciplined enough to do it regularly until I started Pink Parts. I live on coffee, love music, drive fast, and really miss being a stripper!

Why did you start the comic?

A combination of reasons. I've wanted to draw comics for many years, and I have many funny stories to tell about strip clubs, but it wasn't until December of 2009 that the two came together to create Pink Parts. The other major reason is to educate people - I've heard a lot of awful things said about strippers and strip clubs that aren't necessarily true, and there's a huge social stigma against girls who dance naked for money. I try to make the point here that strippers are people working for a living, just like everyone else.

How do you draw your stuff?

I use a small Wacom Intuos 4 tablet and Adobe Photoshop 7.

Can I email you?

Sure! kskipper (at) pinkpartscomic (dot) com
